Depending on the size of the swimming pool and the requirements for water quality, pool water treatment system filtration methods can be roughly divided into three types: co-flow circulation, counter-flow circulation, and mixed flow circulation.
The co-flow circulation method can quickly clean the pool water. This method is to send all the circulating water of the swimming pool into the swimming pool through the water inlet on the pool wall, and then suck it through the return water inlet at the bottom of the swimming pool by the circulating water pump. After being sent to the filter to remove impurities in the return water, it can reduce the turbidity of the water. It is easy to cause stagnant water, the filtration efficiency is relatively low, and there is a risk of drowning caused by suction.
The counter-flow water circulation purification system is to set the water inlet at the bottom of the pool and the return water inlet (overflow port, overflow tank) on the outside of the pool. There are more water distribution ports at the bottom of the pool, the water distribution is uniform, and the overall water quality is more uniform than the co-flow type. It can effectively purify the suspended solids in the upper layer of the pool. There is less sediment at the bottom of the pool, it is easier to maintain and clean up the dirt, the filtration efficiency is higher, and the overall water quality is better. The disadvantage is that the machine room occupies a large area and has strict elevation requirements. Generally, it is required to be about 3 m below the pool water surface to ensure overflow return.
Mixed flow water circulation purification system, this circulation method organically combines the co-flow and counter-flow methods, fully drawing on the advantages of the two circulation methods, 60%–70% of the total circulating water in the swimming pool is taken back through the overflow return water tank set on the outer side of the pool wall, and the remaining 30%–40% of the water is taken back through the return water inlet set at the bottom of the pool. These two parts of water are combined and purified and filtered before being sent back to the pool through the bottom. It can also rely on the water flow to flush away some of the sediment. It avoids the disadvantages of the first two, the water quality is cleaner, the disadvantage is that the initial investment cost is high.Among the three circulation modes, the mixed-flow mode delivers the best results, making later management worry-free and efficient.
